Did you know I used to be very wealthy a few years back?
When I started my journey into marketing, and began to work hard to make “ends meet”, if the definition of ends meet is 45,000 salary and 20,000 allowance from home with no responsibility, I was balling more than Oshoala.
Nothing moved me, I don’t go out often, I save more money from my “earnings”. I didn’t even work that hard to make this money, but I was filled with joy.
But these days, I take up to 3 jobs. I work so hard so I can pay my Lagos rent, pay my ‘Band A’ electricity bill, pay for food, and most importantly save for the rainy days, though it seems we are in a constant rainy season.

Yet, it doesn’t feel enough. I remember when I started with just N3000 stipend then, I was fine, I was comfortable, and even when I landed a 40k job a year after, and my N3000 stipend also increased to N5000, I felt like the wealthiest person on earth. Yet, now, it seems the more money I make the poorer I become.
How many jobs do you do to stay afloat? Is the hard work even worth it?
